For me the best way to study was just reading a lot, but than again (I took the test twice) lol! I made lots of drug dosages flash cards, but it turns out I did not have to once I went to id44.
I think if you guys would just do a little research, you will see that www.id44.com is by far the best way to prepare. The National Registry is no joke, and they take it seriously! You cannot lose because it is pretty darn cheap compared to other sites too.
I have seen JB learning, it is pretty good, but expensive!!
I think their quizzes are complex..way too complex
If you are a Paramedic, you better have a good understanding of Paramedicine, and if you are an EMT, you better know how to identify signs and symptoms. Either way id44.com does all of those things better than any site. It's really down to earth too.
Barron's makes a good Paramedic study guide too. It's blue and white. I have never seen an EMS notes book, but I hear it's "the shit"
I have seen a lot of expensive ways to pass NREMT exam, but I still think id44.com is still kicks all their asses hands down!

You have to try www.emtprep.com. I used them and found their questions to be very helpful. I supplemented by book studies with the information I received in their questions and knew I had passed the test as I walked out. They have a 100% pass guarantee too which I didn't have to use, but it was cool to know they back up their work.

No doubt, the exam IS hard. After failing the first time, I realized I had to really understand the material. A guy in class told me about www.emssuccess.com. They have an audio review of the major sections that I was able to download and listen to over and over and over. Audio is a little off, but there is a ton of great content. Overall I would highly recommend it.
By the way, someone posted about Pearson vue putting together tests that are too hard. Pearson vue doesn't write the tests, do they?

Has anyone else had trouble passing the nremt-p. I have taken the test three times and failed the subject matter on most of the test is alot of things we can not due in the paramedic setting. Why can we not see the test that we failed to learn why the answer we gave was wrong. My self and five others I know with in two weeks have failed the test, is the nremt just in this for the money or what! My class grades were @ 97% and test site purchased to study for the nremt exam were @ 80 to 98% so whats the deal. Why are so many failing the exam what can we do.

rsaggas1: I wish I could help but I'm in the same boat as you are. A friend of mine gave me what was left over from emt-national-training.com packet he bought, I've had it for two weeks scoring 70's, 80's and 90's and still failed! I've taken the paramedic 3s and failed the nremt-p test 6x, this is F%^*G ridiculous!!! I've passed the class successfully all 3x but have failed the NR test. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong!
